To me, reading evenly slightly educational non-fiction feels like a child eating vegetables. It doesn't always go down well, but I know it's good for me and often a little force-feeding goes a long way. This is what I was expecting of Sapiens, but honestly, it had me hooked from the first page to the last. It was compelling and tremendously informative, explaining quite difficult concepts in an entertaining, logical and accessible way.
