Wow. I absolutely love Toni Morrison's writing, but her stories are always very polarizing for me. I've read one other book (Song of Solomon) by her so far and one of the things I love about her work is how you will always find out the backstory of a character, even if it's a side character or a character you might not want to know much about.
I loved the moral of the story, and it's something that most people can relate to.Feeling better about your own life or your own situation because you see someone else in a worse situation.
But also with Toni Morrison, her stories are very raw, which is a good thing most of the time, but there will always be at least one scene that it hard to stick around for.
I loved this for the most part though, mostly because I'm in love with Toni Morrison's writing.
