"The more single-mindedly the world concentrated on war and heroism, in honor and other old ideals, the more remote and improbable any whisper of genuine humanity sounded."

A MASTERPIECE.

This book turned my mind's eye upon itself, and with an authoritative yet tender compulsion, urged me to look inward; to peel back the layers that have hardened into calluses from years of thoughtless conformity.

With perfectly calculated force, Demian knocks on the weak points that hold up convention and sends antiquated yet then-socially-accepted manners of collective thought tumbling down in a heap.
