I, Robot by Isaac Asimov

3.0

I had a great time reading this book. At the same time I find the ideology behind it so distasteful, with its technocratic utopia (technocracy in the sense that the technology itself is the ruler). We put onto technology the same burden we place on God -- design a perfect system, to account perfectly for human nature, and last forever -- rather than facing the likelihood that we have no escape, and we have to start living within our folly-prone, time-bounded world now.
