Wolves of the Calla by Stephen King

5.0

My favourite of the series so far. Stephen King, I say thankya. One of the things I've loved about this series is how it almost wantonly crosses genres. This book exemplifies that: fantasy, horror, sci-fi, mystery, suspense, crime novel and Arthurian legend all rolled into one. Inside, you'll find old western gunslingers, sassy New Yorkers, an Irish Catholic priest, vampires, undead zombies and a robot.

You'll see the homage to 'The Magnificent Seven' straight away, but it's not the only homage. The threads and overtones keep weaving through in more and more detail. The tension builds to a rip-roaring finale that won't leave you disappointed, say true.
