I have never been so disappointed over a book before. Everybody on tiktok hyped this series up so much and I was so excited to read it. I literally wanted to by the entire series bc I was sure I would like it based of how pretty the covers were and it was romance and it had so many good reviews. I am SO thankful I just borrowed it from the library. The ending was rushed we never found out if West really changed or what he decided on for the future or why his mom was acting weird when she came back home. He was super possessive of Maggie and not in a cute way. And their relationship was super unhealthy. He was quite literally relying on her for everything, which is a big pet peeve of mine bc even in really life I’m super passionate about getting better for yourself and not having to rely on others when in a relationship, and she never had an outlet for her own shit. She was constantly catering to him and his needs. I’m glad they addressed all this in the book but they never actually showed us if any of it changed. ALSO, all if the boys are so disrespectful towards women it’s disgusting. And the acknowledge the fact that they and their friends don’t treat women right but don’t change their behavior. It’s so annoying. Anyways bottom line is I really disliked this book but once I start something I finish it which means I’m gonna read the whole series. Wish me luck.
