When I spotted this book, I knew it would be a lovely documentary of girlhood/womanhood around the world. And it was! It arrived in the mail today and I read the whole thing tonight. It gets 3 stars because that's my baseline for a good book. I mean, it's a coffee table book - it's not profound or life-changing or exquisite. It IS lovely, sometimes sad, sometimes funny. I feel connected to these girls around the world, through this common experience of growing up, living day to day, and dreaming.
