I am writing this review after reading Bram Stoker's Dracula, though I read Carmilla before Dracula. I honestly prefer Carmilla, primarily because of its concision compared to the drawn-out plot of Dracula. They are in many ways similar books, but Dracula is slow where Carmilla is fast.
