A Taste of Gold and Iron by Alexandra Rowland
5.0

Getting covid really freed up my reading time enough to get through this amazing wonderful book! I've been a fan of Alexandra Rowland's for a while now, since they released A Conspiracy of Truths and I've been waiting to see what their next novel would be.

This did not disappoint at all, and feels similar to Winter's Orbit and A Strange and Stubborn Endurance . Rowland delivers again with amazing world-building, politics, and courtly intrigue. The romance plays a big role in the story, but it felt evenly balanced with everything else going on.

The characters were so fun, and funny, and so much about this book was delightful, it was exactly what I needed to get through several days of covid.
