Ethan by Ella Frank

5.0

Ella Frank returns to her Confessions Series with a leap forward in time to the next generation. Chloé is the daughter of Priest, Julien, and Robbie, the throuple from the first 4 books in the series. She is sassy, determined to pave her own way, daring, and unafraid to take what she wants. When she walks into an exclusive sex club, she sees Zayne and Ethan and is immediately captivated by this dynamic duo. Like her fathers, Chloe’s desires end up being unconventional. She is young and impulsive, but has a lot of responsibility being one of the head chefs in her fathers’ restaurant. At times she seems very young, but also is open minded and seems to take a lot of new situations in stride with grace. I found her likable and the guy intriguing. This is an age gap, insta-lust throuple story with some light BDSM elements that was a fun read.

Ethan Holt owns a business with his longtime partner Zayne that caters to people’s wildest fantasies. He is dominant both in and out of the bedroom, and demands control which works for Zayne most of the time. However, Zayne also likes to have control. When an intriguing redhead walks into their domain, both of their heads turn. She brings sass and submission which is just too hard to resist.

I am so intrigued to see where this story goes. Chloé reminds me of Robbie in a lot of ways and like her father, she can be a bit of an impulsive brat. She is so very young but in this particular story, it didn’t bother me as much as youth does in NA romance. I think I liked this story so much because the problems the characters face and will face moving forward are so much bigger than the petty issues of youth. There are secrets, but not miscommunication between them. There is heat, but the story is not a smut-fest. And there is so much left to be revealed in their story that I can’t wait to get my hands on the rest.
