Shucked

I was really hoping to love this one as much as in a Jam. Sadly, the trip back to friendship wasn’t the same.
Beckett is Sunny’s older brother’s best friend and back in the small town to help with his family’s oyster business while his parents are in a legal bind. Sunny owns a cafe and has epilepsy. She’s a little free spirited and can’t stand Beckett because he and her brother lived to torture her.
Now, they have a little rivalry between their businesses.
Their story was not interesting to me until after the 50 % mark. I felt it dragged a bit and had too much going on with the secondary characters. I was glad there wasn’t a true third act break up, however, I just felt nothing was resolved. The parents of Beckett still haven’t had anything solved by the end.
I’m still deciding on a star rating but between 3 and 4 stars. I’m gonna sit on it a bit.
