Poirot's novels are chicken soup for the soul for me. There is something about solving a lighthearted mystery that feels cozy, mainly when Poirot is the man doing the solving.
Of course, I'm always wrong in my intuitions. I never guess the killer. That says something about Christie's writing. She gives us all the clues while leading us in the wrong direction.
This one involves a Christmas reunion with a dysfunctional family - how relatable; every family member is a suspect!
I hope my family reunions never become this dark.
