Ryan's Bed by Tijan
5.0

Talk about a book that will captivate you! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Tijan delivers an absolutely phenomenal story in Ryan's Bed.

You will fall in love with this book! It's a sensitive subject to people but it's also the kind of story everyone should be reading. Depression and suicide are very real and often avoided talking about. Thank you to Tijan for giving voice to Mackenzie and sharing this story with us.

Ryan is so wise for his years and offers so much support and guidance to Mackenzie. He is such an amazing character. While this book is focused on Mackenzie's journey I don't think it ever would have been complete without Ryan. Mackenzie needed him in order to grow.

"Ryan had become necessary to me. He shielded me, protected me. My head was above water with him. Without him, I would sink. I would drown alone."

Mackenzie is strong , you can just sense it in everything she does , but she is also a complete mess. She doesn't cope with anything and has a hard time talking about Willow. I love how she doesn't let the bullies ruin her though. There were times where I wanted to scream at her parents, they were all so lost.

This story will pull your heart strings from beginning until end. It's so raw and real. You can feel the pain and the happiness from these characters. And at times you'll probably even feel a little proud. Mackenzie's story will leave you full and empty at the same time and you will want to re read it. The ending is so powerfull. I think that's what makes this a top read ,not just this year, of all time.
