May the Best Man Win by Z.R. Ellor

medium-paced

I love that this book explores the internalised misogyny that can come from being a trans person and the internalised shame from being autistic and uses those in each character as a mirror, as someone who is trans and autistic, I could really connect with the way the characters thought about themselves as someone who used to think of themselves the same way. I wish I had read this in highschool so I could’ve connected with it more. I knew being a YA that it would probably end in a way that felt a bit too neat and tidy, but all around a solid book that I hope ends up in the hands of trans and neurodivergent youth
