Murder of Crows by Anne Bishop

3.0

I read this book immediately after reading the first in the series, and was very disappointed. I was impressed with the plot-driven character development in [b:Written in Red|15711341|Written in Red (The Others, #1)|Anne Bishop|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1411439502s/15711341.jpg|21378102]. However, very little was done to give them any depth this go around. It also seemed like a lot of action was taking place off stage. Simon repeatedly refers to 'the human pack' but little is told about how it formed. Meg felt more like a plot device than the main character of the series. On the plus side, I do feel that I know Simon a little better.

Overall, I'm glad I checked it out from the library rather than purchasing it. I'll read the next installment if it's also available at the library, but I doubt I'll purchase another book in this series unless book 3 impresses me more than book 2.
