I'd read 'How to Tell a True War Story' once before in college, it was nice to finally read the whole collection.
Basically this collection is about the men of Alpha Company, and the effect of the war on them (before, during, and after the war took place). It's an amazing collection because all the stories have such a different feel to them, taking place at different times and places, and at the end you still don't know what to think, O'Brian isn't there to tell us what to think about the war, only that it happened, and it's hard to capture what war really means.
