Rent to Be by Sonia Hartl

Did not finish book. Stopped at 51%.
Just struggling to get through this. Isla plays the victim because she’s broke and can’t tell her brother or mum because of their upbringing, and
when her friends kick her out of the flat when she’s not paid rent in 3 months, she’s shocked? And then blocks them because she’s hurt they’ve done something without her.

Also on the 7th bloody page she goes to her brothers flat thinking it’s empty and her brothers best friend who BULLIED her “the guy who had once put crickets in my room and told my boyfriend I had lice” is just naked which fair enough he’s in the flat and thinks he’s alone but then in response she gets her tits out?!?

Also he keeps calling her
rainbow bear
and I just can’t take that seriously at all.

Normally I love the fake dating trope, but this book was just the trope as the main plot but just still on a back burner for her brokenness???
