Sweet Temptation
by Wendy Higgins
I absoultely love when a series does a male lead's POV! I loved Kaidan through Anna's POV but seeing the reasons behind his words and actions was just wow...This single book covers all three previous books.
It's well known that Nephs are raised to be nothing more than servants (to spread sin) for the Dukes. But what is so sad is that their childhood and innonce is completely wiped out at a very early age. Before that, of course, they can be haughty and whatnot because of where they're being raised but once their training officially starts, that's all changed.
When Kaidan meets Anna, and gets to know her, he questions his own life. He's also completely confused by Anna and her upbringing. Anna becomes like a fire to him that keeps drawing him in against his "better" judgment. Once, he sort of accepts to himself what he feels for Anna small changes start happening and because of that change, he does the most selfless thing ever. He tries to stay away because he thinks that with his past, he'll taint her goodness. It's a long road for them but in the end, love prevails!
I loved being able to see into Kai's head at some very interesting events and my love for him just grew.
I absolutely adored this book.
