"We are bonded–bound by a promise–an intention greater than the war and the Realms themselves."
Erin Mc Luckie Moya can do me no wrong. It doesn't matter how I'm feeling; I always want to read any of her new releases as soon as possible!
Me being me, I highlighted the majority of the book because that's how much I enjoyed it!
The only thing was that I had wished that I reread The High Priestess before going into The Devil. There were a few moments when I was confused about what was happening, but that's more of a me problem, not the work.
I love Marie and Cort together! They're both strong individuals and may not need someone to stand by their side. However, together, they complement each other and make the other better.
Every time there's a glimpse of the other members of the Tarot Club, I always want to know their story because the little glimpse wasn't enough!
All of Erin's characters are relatable. It may not seem so at first, but at some point, there comes a moment where it would just click.
The cliffhanger! I know how many people hate cliffhangers, myself included; however, Erin makes it works. So give it a chance; you won't regret it! There is a HEA, and the cliffhanger sets up the next book in the Tarot Club series. I can't wait to see what happens next.
