oh the way this wasn't nearly enough and i've spent the whole day reading it....
i laughed and cried and was pissed off and laughed more, but my heart hurt throughout this whole book.... my family.... MY HEART HURTSSSSS
the writing was captivating and flew so nicely like always. no need to comment on that i think.
jean...i don't know man i didn't think it was possible to hurt for this boy more or to love him more than i already did and yet here we are.... every new piece of information we get from his time at the nest and every person in it made my blood boil so much and while the bombing of the nest didn't happen like i was trying to manifest it them dropping dead like flies made me smile every single time. couldn't find one ounce of empathy for those sick bastards. hope the rest of them die in third book too :)))))))
jean saying "i didn't deserve what they did to me" both healed me and absolutely broke me with what came before that and after that.
i don't even have the words for the hurt and love i have for this broken boy and i can only hope that he will heal as much as he can and get the happiness he deserves.
jeremy......boy........i know i was eager to know his past and everything but that hurt like a motherfucker i have to say and i despise his family even more now if that was possible. these repercussions they have for him, the blame they single handedly put on him like they weren't the source of it....i have no words....what hurts more is all the guilt and blame he has for himself... unable to forgive something that was completely out of his hands and from which he was a victim himself...just no words..... wishing all the worst on his disgusting ass family and i hope he gets rid of the clutches they have on him and the expectations of them "forgiving" him so he can finally heal how he deserves too....
jerejean in general was absolutely fucking insane. that one scene before the banquet had me running laps around my house. every chin grap, every soft jean had me clenching my chest. these bastards deserve only the best and i hope they find that in the 3rd book or so help me good.
cat and laila like i said previously....MOTHERS !!!!!! i love them so much. they're healing jean with every kiss on the temple/forehead (its what he deserves!!!!) and hug for jeremy (its what he deserves!!!!) and i couldn't be more happier they all have each other. cat is so hilarious and i love laila for her unwavering love. i hope they can build a new home for themselves since the one they painstakingly build was harshly taken away from them (BURN THE NEST AND EVERY RAVEN FAN TO THE GROUND ISTGGGGGG)
also every other trojan (lucas youre still on watch) !!! that's family !!!! those idiots with their smiles and love !! god i see why kevin is so obsessed with them...
now at kevin... i have to mention him because those few scenes with jean left me kinda all over the place.... the postcards.......i cannot comment more than that or i would go insane.
and andrew??? hello??????? the scenes with jean???? the absolute protectiveness over neil????? i was so not expecting it and it left me so giddy i was giggling and kicking my feet the whole way through !!!!!
also i have HAVE to mention coach rhemann....the man that you are !!!! i'm so glad for what he did for jean.... and his partner adi..... my slavic legend (i screamed so loud when he introduced himself and also burek mention slavic nation we won so hard) i adore you both so much. i hope we get more of those two in the next book because i absolutely need it.
this review got so damn long and there is still so much to talk about here but i will end it here before i turn this into an essay.... i had tremendous fun reading it like i always have with books in this series and i cannot wait to read the next one
