Thin Places: Essays from in Between by Jordan Kisner

4.0

4.5. A beautiful and eccentric exploration of binaries and liminal spaces. From ones you might expect (sexuality) to ones you might not (does an individual self have boundaries?). It didn't feel revelatory as I read, perhaps due to my reckless speed reading, but I keep coming back to its themes.
Also it dissects Say Yes to the Dress in relation to pageants, colonization, and racial/ gender/ class identity, so what more could you want?
