Give Me a Reason by A.L. Jackson
5.0

Trent and Eden, two complete opposites who find themselves wrapped in this tug war of staying away yet craving each other attraction. When Eden shows up at Trent’s club refusing to leave until she gets the interview she was promised, he knew she didn’t belong, but he loved the fierceness and innocence of his “kitten”. Trent thinks his past defines him, makes him a monster that doesn’t deserve any good in this world so he keeps his distance as much as he can from Eden yet there is something about her that keeps drawing him back in. The push and pull between them is so tangible you can feel it in your bones while reading it. Eden is all that is good in this world, she loves hard, works hard, and believes in forgiveness and redemption where Trent thinks his demons will always haunt him, so he doesn’t deserve her. I don’t want to give too much away because this story is unique and epic in its own way. I loved the brothers, everything they worked hard for, the love they had, and the way they always had each other’s backs. At times the descriptions on some pages were repetitive or too much that I had to go back and make sure I was reading what I thought that it became distracting at times but once I got to it, I was fine. There is so many feelings in this story that I loved and kept me on the edge waiting for the shoe to drop and when it did, I surprised by some things yet guessed the others. Overall, this was a great start to a series I know I am going to love and can’t wait to see what is in store for us next.
