Mak picked this up at a cute little bookstore in Crested Butte (shout out Townie Books), and we read it as one of our nightly read alouds.

My only actual complaint is the number of characters who seem to be playing a central role in the story, only to completely fade away with no resolution to their arcs. Not an unsatisfying resolution or a lazy resolution or a vague resolution... just none at all. Perhaps the only reason I noticed it is because of how well Farr writes these people. They are unique, intriguing and so endearing that you want to know more. So if I could get about 15 more pages with about a half-dozen vignettes on these folks, that would be greeeeeat.

The end comes quickly and it turned our usual 2-3 chapters/night into 7 chapters at the end because there was just about no way I could trust Makenna not to stay up reading the end by herself, in secret and under the covers.
