cemoses 's review for:
This Side of Paradise
by F. Scott Fitzgerald
I gave it two stars which under my rating system means it is less then an average good read but not totally awful-and I like some of Fitzgerald's books. I may have given this book one star(totally bad) if it were not by Fitzgerald.
Maybe after finishing another coming of age book about a rich prep school student(Catcher in the Rye, reading about another coming of age story of a prep school student not interesting. There is a lot of poetry and philosophy in the book which fiction readers may find as irrelevant.
Some of the hero's romances were somewhat interesting which were in the later part of the book.
Fitgerald readers might find the book interesting because it was the first book of his that I read where I could see why the Catholic Church might find his books "immoral".
