I am a sucker for anything queer and royal… especially combined. I guess that, combined with red, white and royal blue (which does have a pretty similar storyline) being one of my all time favourites, is why I perhaps went into this with too high expectations:/
I liked the story, at times even loved it, however I just don’t think the writing style was for me. It was written in a really overly cheesy way, and that’s coming from a person who tends to looove cheesy romances. I think the love story of Prince Edgar and Carter had real potential but I just don’t think it was written in a way I enjoy, unfortunately.
