The Children's Hour by Lillian Hellman

3.0

This is a play I got off one of those "must-read before you die" lists, and while it was thought-provoking, I think had I never read it I would be able to face my deathbed just as well. It tells the story of a lie, one that is born in a young girl's desire to have attention and get her way, and ends up destroying lives. Perhaps it would be more moving if seen performed on stage.
