The Piano Lesson by August Wilson

3.0

This was a very interesting take on the lives of black people once their families were freed from slavery. The supernatural aspect that was associated with ancestors and slave owners of ancestors made the play particularly interesting. The story, symbolism, and character building in this work were pretty exceptional. I can see why it won the Pulitzer Price for Drama in 1990. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading drama or who needs a quick read that is entertaining.
