Night Shift

I'm quite conflicted about this. Whilst all the secrets of the Midnight residents finally come out into the open, and we get some answers, the final "showdown" felt somewhat anticlimactic to me - with a lot of build up coming to not a lot in the end. There's a lot of references back to previous Harris series which will make regular readers smile and the talking cat is still a hoot. But the misunderstanding between Bobo and Fiji felt a bit limp and although everything Harris does rattles on at a pace, this seemed to create problems and resolve them in a blink-and-you'll-miss it kinda way.
I like Midnight, I like its residents, I really liked the first two books and to end the series on a down note like this is a real shame.
