This book starts off VERY slow. I was questioning my intelligence for the first half of this, because I couldn't understand it all. Maybe that's just because science fiction is not my typical genre.
But then, the second half. It slowly redeemed itself from like a 2 star to between a 4 and 5. The writing, the plot, the characters; it all started coming together for me. The ending was great, and has given me high hopes for the next book. Kind of a roller coaster journey reading this book, but I'm so glad I finally did it.
