Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez
5.0
Wowowowowowowowowow.
This was unfortunately my first Abby Jimenez. I say unfortunately due to the fact I read part #3 first and that I hadn't joined the AJ hive sooner. Before I begin my brief review of this book that left absolute emotional carnage, I'd like to say that the audiobook is not to be missed. These narrators are great and full with emotion in their reading. 10/10.
NOW AS FOR THE BOOK.
I was not ready for Justin. Truly nothing could compare me for this imaginary man of our dreams. I feel like this is Ted Mosby (HIMYM) like character in another universe. I also had to actively remind myself that this man was written by a woman because I have NEVER heard of such a man... but let's dream.
I appreciate that AJ made this story a whirlwind romance in the midst of real life chaos. Love is hard. Point blank. As dreamy as this couple may be, my heart aches from Emma & Justin searching for love and security because they may have never experienced the love they deserved. I appreciate this kind of storytelling because you really feel that you are emotionally working just as hard as these characters. and girl I'm CLOCKED TF IN.
Amazing read. x
