Come Join Us by the Fire by Theresa DeLucci

3.0

Honestly as a free audiobook collection of horror short stories I wasn’t expecting much, but it was better than I thought it would be. Some of the stories are better than others that’s for sure.
I will say my favorites are the one with the evil stepson, all the ones involving the ocean, and the one with the final girl and the killer monster going on a soul searching road trip. I hope to someday see a rom com with the final girl and the killer. Truly magically.

The standouts are as follows:
It Washed Up by Joe R. Lansdale
Stemming the Tide by Simon Strantzas
And When She was Bad by Nadia Bulkin
These Deathless Bones by Cassandra Khaw
Cold Silent and Dark by Karina Sumner-Smith
