The General by Israh Azizi, Israh Azizi
5.0
I enjoyed this as much as the first book in the series. It's so good to be reunited with these characters and to see how they face new challenges, betrayals, and destiny. They each have had a lot of character growth which is impressive given the vast number of characters in which we get perspectives from.
I did particularly like the numerous parallels between folklore and the lives of the men of this story. The amount of swapped babies was a fun twist.
Krea is once again such a fun character, I truly do love how loyal she is through it all. She did not deserve what happened to her. And neither did Jax.
Mordon was really going through it this book and I felt so bad for him. I do absolutely love the connection he has with the rumloks though. I am envious of his ability to connect with them.
I love seeing the connection between Natassa and Velamir develop in this book!
I absolutely cannot wait for the third installment of this series!
