Let me preface this review with 2 things:
1) I work with individuals with ASD therefore feel I have an understanding from a clinical side of the sensory & social challenges individuals with ASD navigate;
2) grad school attempted to teach us that sex/intimacy is an ADL, thus reminding me that anyone - with or without a disability - must navigate communication & adapt within their relationships.

With all of this being said, I appreciate the author's efforts for shining light on autism & dating/intimacy. Yes, there are flaws & nuisances in this book. The insecurities of the main characters did become somewhat irritating but not enough for me to dislike this book altogether since their insecurities drove the plot.
My reading repertoire needed a sappy (and smutty) read before the end of the year. This checked the box.
Please note this review took me some time to write. Mostly because I have a lot of thoughts surrounding the portrayal of autism and sex/intimacy in this book and I don't want to sound ignorant. I think the author's experience with her personal journey to an autism diagnosis helped support how it was written and shared with readers.
