Classic murder mystery format. Main character is likeable with a personable mustache (cute & comedic relief). First half sets up the characters & plot, while the second half deals with sleuthing out the murder.
I had one of these books in the 90s & wanted to revisit. Somewhat nostalgic read imagining pre-computer/internet days.
Author did a good job of personifying the characters without going to great descriptive lengths.
Easy read. Non descriptive as far as murder and violence. The reader is pretty much told that it happened - a little like Clue. No blood and gore.
