This book really excelled at creating a super captivating and spooky atmosphere. The setting made it so fun to read, it created probably one of the most unique feelings i ever had while reading. However the story doesn’t really pick up until the last third, it tries to build up tension a lot but also drags on for quite a bit. Noemi was a great main character tho, i loved her attitude and strength. Normally i don’t love romance in a horror story but the small part it played here was very enjoyable and actually a great addition to the story in my opinion. All in all a good read for spooky season! Im not sure if it has a lot of rereading potential for me tho.

i was a little disappointed that the “big bad” plot twist was basically Resident Evil 7, i expected a bit more monster type evils. The ending moment between Noemi and Francis was super cute tho
