This book had me at the hot veterinarian! Yes, please! What a great character for a book 😀

I genuinely enjoyed this book! The connection between the two main characters was palpable and I'm so glad that the author didn't take the tiresome route of "they won't be together even though they can" for more than half the book and then bring them together at the end. No, instead, we got to experience the challenges and joys of a long-distance relationship between two people committed to making it work. Thank you, Ms. Jimenez! This book also addressed the difficult topics of being a caregiver for a loved one with dementia and childhood mental and physical abuse (trigger warnings ⚠️!!), which made the book all that more relatable.

This was another excellent showing by the author, who's become an auto-read for me. Can't wait for the next one!
