I just finished reading this and honestly it made me cry a lot. The writing is incredibly done and you can tell the wording for everything was so delicately chosen. There is such clever foreshadowing and parallels and the ending hit me like a train. The characters are written in such a complex way that constantly leaves you debating whether they're good people or not - personally I think that type of realism is such a hard thing to capture and this book did it perfectly! I 100% couldn't recommend this more, it is such a beautiful book that gave me such an amazing experience.
Graphic: Animal death, Death, Fire/Fire injury
Moderate: Racism, Grief
