I really enjoyed this book! The characters were all interesting and I enjoyed POV-switching chapters which is something that usually loses my attention. There was a great mix of seriousness, comedy, and gore. The overall message of the book meant more to me than I expected and the writing style was relatively unique! Honestly, my only critique is that I want a spinoff book of short stories that catalog Slabber Olli’s adventures. If you are thinking about reading this book and you like fantasy and mystery I would recommend it. There is a great variety of characters and at least one will resonate with most readers.
Moderate: Mental illness
Minor: Addiction, Alcoholism, Death, Domestic abuse, Gore, and Injury/Injury detail
