I can't stop thinking about this book. I tell everyone I know about this book. It's about memory, and ancestral memory, and the memories that live in our bones. It's about survival. It's about death. It's about what it means to be haunted. It's whimsical and spooky and funny and devastating by turns. There are puppets? There's a haunted house and it will lie to you because the truth is so unbearably sad. There is a girl and a boy and neither of them know why they are the way they are.
