I didn't know this was a book. I only ever watched the movie growing up. I really liked it, even though it was kind of a weird movie to me. It's a strange idea, but really enjoyable. I love the book even more. I read it all in one sitting and loved all of it. Patrick is a bit annoying, but every other character was great. It's a lot more nuanced than the movie is and was well written. I'd be interested to know if the other books that came after were any good. Maybe if I get the chance, I'll pick them up. I definitely recommend this. If you're worried about it being racist or something, don't. It's fantastic.
