A quick, easy to devour tale about a scorned samurai begrudgingly helping an aspiring samurai take her father's place on a mission to save a town from a demon stealing children. It turns out to be the scorned samurai's hometown, and the monster connected to her past. While they embark on their mission, the aspiring samurai's family are double crossed, leading to the final mission of the two samurai coming together to defeat their mutual enemy.

The style of artwork was lovely and easily conveyed action and emotion. The use of black and white with a pop of color per character for memories was a beautiful touch.
