Dogs of War by Adrian Tchaikovsky

4.0

I don’t always enjoy Tchaikovsky’s books however I always enjoy his imagination and I’ll always know going into a book of his that it will be wildly different than any other book I’ve read.

Dogs of War is about basically Cyborg Animals that have been engineered to be huge and intelligent, which of course Humans utilize to their benefit for everyday tasks, protection, or warfare. Rex is a massive cyborg dog that is the leader of a pack, his Master will command him to terminate the enemy but after they kill some questionable targets he starts to wonder who really is the enemy. Rex battles the need to be a “good dog” with being a puppet for an evil master. The story ends up being great and will immediately read the sequel.
