For the most part, I liked this better than the first book, which seems to be an unpopular opinion from what I've seen but oh well.

I found half of that book boring and struggled to get through it. In comparison, I only found about 20% of this book boring. It was honestly going pretty good for the first 70%, but then somewhere it just sort of... fizzles out in the excitement department. I'd peg this to be around the
Harald/Snorri/Saga reveal, where we learn that Harald has been pretending to be Saga and is a Child of Loki
. That reveal was pretty great. I thought something was up with the characters involved, but couldn't figure out what it was and this reveal caught me off guard.

UNFORTUNATELY, it goes downhill from there.

I did not find the endgame of this book very interesting. I can't say there was anything overly wrong with it, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. Some of it was expected but it just wasn't done in a way that had me on the edge of my seat.
Truthfully, most of the shit that takes place in Hel did nothing for me and I just wanted those scenes to be over, even if I should have seen them coming due to Freya's powers.

The ending was... underwhelming. I didn't like the epilogue. I was honestly leaning towards four stars up until the last twenty or so percent of this book. But really. Overall, a very average romantasy in the sea of romantasy series we get these days. Nothing to write home about but a nice waste of time for what it is.
