Ahhh so cute!!!
I love them and their story!! And how healthy their relationship is!
I also love time travel and it was nice how we got to see both perspective; her future-self in the past and her past-self in the future. It was a lot like in “your name”, since only their minds/souls time-traveled, not the whole body.
It would be interesting to know how it was possible in the first place though? Since time-travel wasn’t a technological/normal aspect in their future.
Hm, perhaps just a miracle like in YN? But then again, her future-self did seem to plan it and know exactly when and why she time-traveled. Or it was like in YN, when Taki drank the sake to purposefully travel back in time, not knowing it might work but bc he remember the body-switching, it wasn’t strange to him? Yeah, maybe something like that...
It also reminds me of "Hello World", since in both stories, the MC goes back in time to save their ill partner/love. But, "Hello World" is still very different and I wouldn't compare them. Besides, I don't find it a bad thing, that they have some similarities!
Anyways- back to the review.
What I also really loved was the fact that her future-self, when she went back in time, already knew Yuanzi, so the whole getting to meet each other for the first time and dating process didn't really happen (well, in the original timeline they haven't really met in high-school, so getting to know each other still happened, but not as dramatic or slow as it normally would). I really like that about time-traveling, lol.
As for the antagonists or love-rivals... I hated them at first, especially the guy, but when he apologized, he kinda grew on me. Still, very annoying (and it makes me wonder even more, how people ship hetero couples), but I did like their friendship in the end.
The second one, a girl, I'm glad that the main characters stood up to her and were clear about their feelings, so it wasn't that dramatic and both parties could move on.
But overall, I really did enjoy it, especially all the fluff! I hink I loved them in high-school more; probably because the main story was located there, the main action about changing the future was there after all. But it was also nice to see them getting closer. Ahhh, yess, the fluff had me squeezing!! I love them so much!!
