Tomie is probably my favorite manga ever. It's horrifying and mysterious, you are left without any answers and the feeling of being unsatisfied with little conclusion just adds to the horror of it all. Tomie herself is a monster and something you cannot understand. Why is she like this and has she always been? Where did the horror start? Is the beginning of the manga even the beginning of her story, or is there more we never learned?

Tomie is a masterpiece in horror. You cannot help but feel for the characters surrounding her

even once they horrifically murder her

. You want a happy ending, but so often you are given something worse than you could even begin to imagine. Tomie is a must read and addition to any collection and if I felt it would add anything further to this review I would keep writing.

Just read it, you won't be sorry.
