The Baker Street Letters by Michael Robertson

2.0

A promising premise that doesn't quite reach it's full potential. New tenants to an office on Baker Street in London are required to respond to any letters addressed to Sherlock Holmes. Reggie Heath relegates this task to his brother, Nigel, who takes it upon himself to investigate an odd series of letters. Unfortunately, a dead body is found in Nigel's office just after he's departed to California.

Few, if any, characteristics of Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes exist here. The protagonist, comes across as rather bumbling and unobservant. Few of the characters are fleshed out or very memorable, which makes revelations in later chapters less meaningful. Rating = 2.5
