4.5 This story resonated with me so much. I do think this shouldn’t be marketed as a thriller/mystery because that doesn’t really come in until the latter part of the story but though unlikeable, the characters were compelling and the themes of race, class, money, social strata and the American dream were touched upon in a clever manor. The prose was sharp, and pacing good as well. Highly recommend.
