This is such a good book. I’m pretty amazed at how relevant so much of the book still is over a hundred years later. You’ve got girls wanting to fit in at school, siblings fighting, a new wife getting overwhelmed by a difficult task and taking it out on her husband, struggling between being successful in the world and keeping one's integrity, and of course, love, sickness, jealousy, and so much more. I also love that the characters are doing their best to please God and live for Him. They fail many times but they get back up and try again.
