Why haven’t I read any Keri Lake book until now? WHY? WHATS WRONG WITH ME? This was AMAZING!! I am so obsessed with this story.. I could not get enough.

This book has monsters, magic, horrible side characters that you want to expire yourself because of how much they’ll get your blood boiling. The world building and character development was amazing and the FMC despite it being oblivious about everything at first, turns into a powerful witch at the end while figuring out who she really is and where she comes from .. many secrets are yet to be discovered and that ending left me bereft.
The way the author’s writing immerses you in the story with all the details is insane. The banter between the main characters was top notch, it had me cackling at times. Zevander is EVERYTHING you want for a perfect morally grey book boyfriend. He’s a fire and scorpion wielder, overprotective brother, scarred ASSASSIN with a horrible past, that’ll make your toes curl. I cannot wait for book 2, I NEED RIGHT NOW!
