Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

3.0

I'm giving this book a 3.5 stars. Honestly, I didn't really like this book. It was slow and dragged along for me. However, the writing style was great. I just really didn't like the plot of the book. I guess I'm just not one for spy books. I didn't think 3rd person worked for this book especially since the chapters were split up between the characters, I'm unsure why not the author didn't just tell the chapters in the perspective of each person in first person.

What I did like about this book was the character development, however I wished their past stories were told in the beginning instead in a random place in the middle. I'm aware of this being a series but I'm unsure if I'll actually read the rest of it.

The ending of this book was quite annoying, Kaz keeps talking about how much he hates Pekka, I would much rather have seen him do something bigger after he got the money. Also, I think I might actually enjoy the Grisha series by Bardugo more only because I found the history of the Grisha more interesting than the plot of this book.
